Biography

Born and raised in Texas, Elizabeth Leass was always passionate about health and well-being. This passion led her to pursue a career in Public Health, where she has made significant contributions as both a researcher and teacher.

After completing her undergraduate degree at The University of Texas at Austin, Elizabeth earned a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) focused in Community Health with a Leadership Concentration from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston) School of Public Health. This rigorous program provided her with a strong foundation in the field of Public Health and prepared her for her future career. She is currently a Ph.D. student at UTHealth Houston, majoring in Behavioral Science and double minoring in epidemiology and biostatistics.

With her newly acquired knowledge and skills, Elizabeth began working as a researcher in the Public Health field. She quickly distinguished herself as a skilled and dedicated professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for improving the health and well-being of communities. She has presented her findings at numerous conferences.

In addition to her research, Elizabeth is also an experienced teacher, having co-taught several courses at UTHealth Houston School of Public Health. Her students consistently praise her ability to make complex concepts accessible and their dedication to helping them succeed.

Throughout her career, Elizabeth has remained committed to improving the health and well-being of communities. She has worked on various projects on health promotion, disease prevention, and health disparities. Her work has had a significant impact, improving the lives of countless individuals and communities.
