The Janice M. Epp Student Scholarship Awards
We are pleased to announce the launch of the Janice M. Epp Student Scholarship Awards recognizing Dr. Janice Epp’s significant contributions to The Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality. Dr. Epp was renowned as a passionate advocate for students, an inspiring teacher, and a wise mentor. She worked tirelessly to expand opportunities for students to be a viable part of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality. As a result of Dr. Epp’s long- time dedication, legions of students have become vital members of SSSS and many have gone on to distinguished careers in sexual science.
To continue Dr. Epp’s dedicated work to attract future scientists and scholars to the field of sexual science, the Janice M. Epp Student Scholarship Awards will be given annually to encourage students to participate in SSSS academic meetings by defraying the cost of registration. The applicants, in addition to information describing their current student status, must include a letter of no more than 500 words, describing their interest in sexual science, their interest in attending a symposium or the annual meeting, and how they plan to use the knowledge obtained.
Application Guidelines for The Janice M. Epp Student Scholarship
Procedures: Under the auspices of The Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality, the Janice M. Epp Student Scholarship Awards will provide compensated registrations for 2 students to attend a SSSS academic meeting. One award will be given for a student to attend a Western Region Symposium and the other for a student to attend the Annual Meeting of the Society.
