Innovative Strategies for Addressing Sexual Health Disparities

The Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality (SSSS) and the Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) - Satcher Health Leadership Institute’s Center of Excellence for Sexual Health (CESH) cordially invite you to join us, at a one-day sexual health symposium, scheduled for April 28, 2017 (Friday) at MSM. The symposium will focus on discussion toward the development of innovative strategies for addressing sexual health disparities. In alignment with the vision of MSM and SSSS, this symposium will be utilized as a platform to provide knowledge of and increase dialogue relative to the HIV/AIDS care continuum, sexuality, and sexual health. It will also raise awareness on various health services to work towards the achievement of health equity for all individuals.

SSSS is an international organization dedicated to the advancement of knowledge about sexuality, and it’s the oldest organization (60 years) of professionals interested in the study of sexuality in the United States. SSSS brings together an interdisciplinary group of professionals who believe in the importance of both: the production of quality research and the clinical, educational, and social applications of research related to all aspects of sexuality.

MSM-CESH’s mission is to raise the level of national dialogue on human sexuality, sexual health, and well-being in a sustained, informed, honest, mature, and respectful way and to link that dialogue to actions that reflect scientific evidence and deeply held beliefs. CESH seeks to strengthen public health through promotion of national public discussion of sexual health issues; provide forums and assistance to leaders of divergent viewpoints in building agreements on controversial issues of public health policy regarding sexual health; and provide education to improve the sexual health of all people.

Collectively, these organizations present a great deal of experience in the advancement of sexuality and sexual health in various arenas. Additional details are below. Any questions, please contact SSSS at thesociety@sexscience.org | 610-443-3100
